Tingandogo

We are extremely excited about this work. We had our first Sunday service in February2005. As you can see in the pictures, we just put two tarps together. The first Sunday, we had 17 people, most of whom came with us and the other missionary. We decided that the tarps were not going to make it so we built a hanger as you can see in the pictures. We were excited on the third Sunday because many of the people that we visited the day before came. There was an old man that had come to the services the week before and also helped us to make the hanger. He raised his hand that he was ready to trust Christ as his Saviour. After the service, I began to talk with him, and he told me that he was a sinner and he was terrified that he was going to die in his sins and go to hell. He said that he knew the only way out was Jesus. We praise the Lord as he trusted Christ as His Saviour.

We will begin construction on the 5 acres. We bought the land at a good price, but the problem here is the government doesn’t recognize our purchase. We were told that it is necessary to put a wall around the property to help secure our purchase. We of course don’t have the money to build the wall right now but we want to build some corner posts and one storage building. In the next few months we will build a building that will serve as the church but will eventually be Sunday school rooms.
